How INFJ Personality Types Can Get Over Self-Doubt

There are several reasons why self-doubt can be an INFJ obstacle to having amazing relationships, and live a stress-free life.

Some Reasons Why INFJs Have Self-Doubt…

INFJs…

1   ARE RARE-

Since INFJs are the rarest out of the 16 personality types and operate differently than the majority of the population, it might be easy to fall into doubting themselves.

2   WANT TO MAINTAIN THE PEACE AT ALL COSTS

INFJs usually despise conflict! They will do almost anything to keep the peace, especially giving others the benefit of the doubt.

3   ARE HARD ON THEMSELVES

INFJs tend to strive to be perfect, always looking for things they have done wrong or that need improving. Nothing is ever quite good enough. That can cause anyone to doubt themselves. What makes it worse is when an INFJ hasn’t forgiven themselves for their imperfections, which makes the doubt increase.

4   NATURALLY ANALYZE EVERYTHING

INFJs tend to reflect and look at things from practically every angle possible before they make a decision. There is nothing wrong with that! Doubt creeps in when they fear they are making a mistake.

5   NEED TO EXPRESS THEIR THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS

INFJs usually need to share their thoughts and feelings, most often with close friends or in some creative way like writing them out. When an INFJ holds in those thoughts and feelings, they can easily spiral down into doubting themselves.

6   CAN FORECAST THE FUTURE

INFJs usually have the uncanny ability to predict future events—and sometimes months or years before they actually occur. Until they see their predictions manifested, it might cause them to question themselves.

7   ARE TELEPATHIC

INFJs tend to pick up others’ unexpressed thoughts and feelings. That means they can often detect even the slightest dishonesty hidden under niceness or if something about someone doesn’t feel right. Until INFJs see actual evidence of it, they might doubt themselves.

8   ARE EXTREMELY INTUITIVE

If an INFJ tries to be “normal” like most of the population and dumbs down their intuitive ability, they are not only attempting to cut off their main purpose in life, but also the method to achieve union with others. Before an INFJ sees actual evidence of their intuitive insights, they might become impatient and question themselves.

About INFJ Self-Doubt

At the core, INFJ self-doubt comes from a lack of faith and the strong belief they can be downright “wrong.” Not taking full advantage of an INFJ’s uncanny intuitive abilities actually causes them lots and lots of self-doubt.

The INFJ Battle

For some reason, INFJs almost always fight against being spiritual and intuitive to some extent. Maybe it’s because they just want to be “normal” like others and fit in. In fact, some INFJs would much rather keep struggling to change their situations or to change themselves than move to a higher frame of mind to fully access their intuition.

At times their resistance can often become a full-blown battle between their head and their heart—to the point it becomes excruciating to avoid. Spoiler, the heart will always win in the end!

Once an INFJ surrenders to the spiritual side of themselves, their intuition becomes unshakable and the self-doubt disappears. That means letting all the paranormal events, signs from the universe, telepathy, visions, dreams, and psychic abilities surface. In fact, their spiritual side becomes so persistent that all their pre-programmed religious beliefs about what is right and what is wrong will become irrelevant.

A Good Way Out of Self-Doubt

Stop fighting alone time! INFJs need loads of alone time ordinarily, but especially if they want amazing relationships, or have total peace in a stressful world. It is essential for them to have blocks of time with no interruptions to do that much needed soul-searching, slide into deep concentration, and to receive intuitive guidance.
