About Inner Work

Advice, Quizzes, and Classes About Doing Your Inner Work

In 2023 and probably in the next few years after that doing our inner work will be extremely helpful in keeping our sanity and learning how to thrive instead of struggling to survive.

What is Inner Work?

The majority of people orchestrate most of their lives around what they see, hear, taste, touch, and smell with their physical body (the 3rd dimension mindset) paying very little attention to their thoughts and feelings.

Inner work is a practice of focusing on controlling our thoughts, perceptions, attitudes, and emotions (the 4th dimension mindset) so we are able to tap into insights from a higher source (the 5th dimension mindset).

Why Is It Important to Do Our Inner Work in 2023?

Have you noticed that ever since Covid-19 appeared, nothing seems to be quite the same? Most of us have been more stressed than ever.

And it doesn’t look like it will end anytime soon. Here are 8 good reasons why it’s so important to do our inner work now.

1   MOST OF US ARE EXPERIENCING A LOT LESS SAFETY AND SECURITY

During this time, the majority of us have kept our eyes locked on our screens soaking up the latest updates and everyone’s opinion, which constantly changes. Every day we are probably exposed to plenty of biased views, fabrications, and lots of downright lies. No wonder we don’t feel safe and secure! It’s getting harder to take things for face value or trust anything or anyone.

2   MOST OF US ARE EXPERIENCING MORE ANGER AND STRESS IN OTHERS

Some of us are coming in contact daily with individuals who are having angry outbursts or at the least, on edge with their underlying tones.

3   MOST OF US ARE EXPERIENCING LESS SATISFACTION

Have you noticed what used to satisfy you before Covid-19 isn’t working as well? We seem to be more discontent with our careers, our employer, where we live, our income, our marriage, our life, and dozens of other things.

4   MOST OF US ARE FEELING DISCONNECTED FROM OTHERS

The restrictions of Covid-19 began limiting our physical (seeing, hearing, touching) way of bonding with others. But now, we have taken it to a new level by dividing more than ever—with our rigid beliefs and our need to be right. Because of this, it’s getting hard to feel that connected to even our co-workers, neighbors, and family.

5   MOST OF US ARE EXPERIENCING LOTS OF SMALL ONGOING CHANGES

Every day there seems to be something new that adds a little to our stress level. This could be another item out of stock, discontinued, or too expensive to purchase.  It could be companies changing the way they do business, cutting their hours, closing their doors, or the increasing lack of customer service.

6   MOST OF US ARE EXPERIENCING A CHANGE IN OUR WORK IDENTITY

Because of the acceleration of artificial intelligence and other factors that are shaking our industries and professions, it is and will continue to bring up most of our individual identities to the surface for review.

There is no doubt about it, millions of us, especially in the US, have placed most of our identity on our work. For decades, we often got our purpose and our feeling of value mainly through our work.

That is being tested right now! It’s very difficult to base our self-worth on what we do for work with the speed that industries are changing and the increasing fear of being replaced looming over us.

7   MOST OF US ARE BURNT OUT

For most of us, Covid-19 helped us realize our lives were spinning out of control—trying to do more and more just to stay afloat.

It seems like the majority of us have become burned out, apathetic, and less passionate about anything. Maybe we’re sick of working our asses off to be successful, worn out from spending most of our time doing things we don’t enjoy, and tired of not having any quality time with our loved ones.

8   MOST OF US HAVE FORGOTTEN WE HAVE AN INNER GUIDE OR INTUITION TO HELP US THROUGH THIS

Our inner guide or intuition is the overall term for something that knows how to guide us out of any jam, or solve any problem, so that everyone wins in the long run. It also provides us peace of mind during the process.

“How to be at Peace in 2023”

Doing Inner Work is Learning How to…

1   Rely on a higher source that knows more than we do.

Religious people could call it just God, God’s guidance, God’s voice, or Holy Spirit.  Spiritual people could call it a Higher Power, Source, Spirit, My Guides, or Divine. While others could call it intuition, gut instincts, gut feelings, a knowing, an insight, or a hunch.

Don’t get hung up on the term. Whatever you want to call that higher source is perfectly fine.

2   Feel worthy.

3   End the need to worry, or be afraid.

4   Release control of what happens by focusing on taking control of your thoughts.

5   Not cast blame, even towards yourself.

6   Be honest and tell the truth.

7   Make how you feel more important than what’s happening.

8   Forgive others and yourself.

9   Accept change easier.

10   End the habit of people pleasing.

11   Be grateful, even for the unpleasant situations.

12   Be aware of your thoughts, taking yourself off of auto-pilot.

Whew! When you look at this list it can seem exhausting and overwhelming. But the good news is that if you only work on ONE of these, (especially #1), you’ll feel the difference right away. Then, the more inner work you do, the better you will feel about yourself, others, and what’s happening around you.

How to Finally Feel Worthy

This self-study course helps you change the mindset you have about yourself to be able to finally feel worthy.

What Inner Work Involves

There are hundreds of ways to do your inner work. All consist of methods of releasing conditional love (3rd dimension mindset or ego) and operating from unconditional love (4th dimension mindset). There is no wrong way to do the spiritual and personal growth that is necessary to find peace in 2023.

But, if we half-ass anything we do, we won’t get very much in return.

You get what you give.

That means to get the most benefits from our inner work, we have to be determined to operate for the most part from a higher mindset. This might be harder to do since most of the world might be tempted to stay in their comfort zone of not wanting to change the way they think. It’s like jumping in head first and not coming up for air until we actually feel the benefits.

Sometimes This Means …

  • Rereading or hearing a (spiritual or personal growth) concept until we memorize it.
  • Reading, seeing, or hearing a concept explained a hundred different ways by a hundred different people.
  • Reading, watching, and listening to other’s stories about a concept.
  • Practicing a concept over and over until it comes naturally.
  • Putting our process in slow motion, like reading one sentence at a time and taking time to really reflect on it until it soaks in.
  • Talking to experts about a concept.
