My name is Vickie Champion and I am a life coach who helps people get out of the fear and use to their intuition or gut instincts.
I thought it would be fun to let you hear from one of my coaching clients who had a very interesting example about using our intuition. Here is Diane Bolden who is also a leadership coach and the author of “The Pinocchio Principle” with her story.
INTUITION EXAMPLE
After a day of skiing in Canada while tagging along on her husband’s business trip, Diane Bolden returned to the hotel exhausted. She walked by the lobby bar and was suddenly inexplicably drawn to it. After lingering in the doorway for a few minutes taking it all in, she reasoned that going in wasn’t practical and went upstairs to her room instead, figuring her husband was probably waiting for her so they could go eat dinner.
Upon discovering that he was at the gym, she again resisted her urge to go have a drink in the lobby bar. Twenty minutes later her husband called and asked her to meet him downstairs. As she walked past the lobby bar, Diane was once again aware of her desire to linger there for a while, but continued walking.
A week later, Diane’s dear friend from college – who she hadn’t seen in years – phoned to tell Diane that she was in the very same lobby bar Diane did not allow herself to go into. A few days after seeing a woman who she thought looked a lot like Diane, her friend called the front desk on a whim to learn that Diane and her husband had just checked out.
VICKIE’S COMMENT
You will learn how to use your intuition either the hard way or the easy way. It is your choice. As you can see Diane learned the hard way this time.
