I have known I’ve had an INFJ Myers-Briggs personality type, but never thought about the connection between personality types and twin flames until recently. When I asked my twin flame coaching clients, most were INFJ personalities. So, I started digging deep into the personality types.
I’ve added the INFP personality because they share the same traits discussed here.
Here’s Some of the Ways INFJs or INFPs and Twin Flames Correlate…
INFJS and INFPs…
1 ARE LOOKING FOR THEIR SOUL MATES-
INFJs and INFPs are searching for “the one.” They crave a mind-blowing, amazing soul connection that lasts for eternity. There is a deep desire for a strong connection at every possible level—spiritual, mental, and physical.
2 ARE EAGER TO DO THE INNER WORK-
INFJs and INFPs are used to going inward to get their guidance. In fact, INFJs are known for being the most intuitive of the 16 personality types. Both personality types have the ability to interpret and manage the high highs and the low lows that come with a twin flame relationship.
3 HAVE AN “ALL OR NOTHING” PERSONALITY–
INFJs and INFPs are extremely focused and driven. They dive into whatever they are interested in and dive deep—to the point others may think they are obsessed and need therapy. Twin flame relationships require that depth of passion.
4 ARE HIGHLY SENSITIVE PEOPLE-
INFJs and INFPs have incredible telepathic abilities built in, which is extremely helpful in order to have a happy outcome in a twin flame relationship. Both personality types can still feel connected to their twin flame despite the distance between them.
Their sensitivity also makes it easy to detect even the slightest changes, thoughts, and feelings from their twin flame sometimes.
“No matter if we’re already in a committed relationship or not, INFJs and INFPs can end up feeling nerve-wracked, baffled, and in constant anguish over what seems to other people to be nothing more than a simple crush.”

4 NEED TO HAVE A CAUSE-
INFJs and INFPs are here to heal. That falls in line with the purpose of the twin flame relationship, which is to release the ego or conditional love completely and come from unconditional love. There isn’t a higher cause any person can ever achieve in a relationship.
5 ARE NONCONFORMISTS-
INFJs and INFPs have a strong desire to be independent from others and have no desire to be normal, which is a good fit for having an extremely rare twin flame relationship.
6 AVOID CONFLICT-
INFJs and INFPs have a tendency to avoid conflict at all costs. As a way to protect themselves, they retreat, withdraw, and then avoid. That can explain the runner pattern in twin flame relationships. When that happens, both personality types can find refuge in perfectionism, workaholism, and other addictions.
IN CONCLUSION
These six things make a good case that twin flames can easily have INFJ and INFP personalities. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a twin flame if you have any of the other 14 personalities. Although if you did have INFJ or INFP personality, it might make your twin flame journey easier.
