A common problem with home based businesses is that they procrastinate adding to and improving their website. “I can’t get motivated to change my website content. I much rather do Facebook,” said one of my coaching clients from Long Beach, CA.
Usually, their websites are boring so they can’t get themselves to do it. Here is a hint: If it’s boring for you to work on, it’s boring for the reader. Times have changed. What use to attract clients isn’t attracting that many clients any longer.
Make your website fun and fun to work on. Get rid of the marketing fluff. You know, the paragraphs of hard to read nonsense with no interesting content. Replace those cold stock photo’s with real life ones.
To make your website more exciting to work on, treat it like a piece of creative artwork. You’ll be motivated to keep improving it and attract a lot more clients.
