Is this Your Intuition? Making a Connection at a Networking Event
Here’s what Vickie Champion talks about in this video…
INTRODUCTION
Hi! I’m Vickie Champion. I am a business and life coach who helps people listen to their “intuition.”
This is one of the videos in a series called “Is this your Intuition?” One of my assistants will describe a common scenario and then ask you if the person used their intuition or not? Then I’ll tell you my answer and explain “why” I came to that conclusion.
A COMMON SCENARIO- MAKING A CONNECTION AT A NETWORKING EVENT
At a business networking event, a man approaches Jan and starts telling her about his product. As he’s talking, Jan notices she’s having a hard time staying focused on what he’s saying. Her mind keeps drifting away, “I wonder what we are going to have for dinner?” and “What do I need to do when I get back to the office?” The man closes his conversation by asking Jan if he can meet with her and demonstrate his product. Jan thinks for a moment and because he seems nice and might be a potential client, she says yes. Was Jan using her intuition or gut instincts?
VICKIE’S ANSWER AND EXPLANATION
Probably not.
Here’s why…
1 When our thoughts drift away no matter how hard we try to focus, our intuition is hinting that this is a person we will have a difficult time making a connection with.
2 Before making the appointment, ask yourself “why.” Are you excited about seeing the product or getting to know him better? Or do you only want to have an opportunity to sell him your product or get him to give you names of people who would. Being EXCITED is your intuition’s way of saying YES.
