Why Blogs Help Your Business
As a business coach, I often get asked whether it will pay off to blog or not?
I started blogging in October 2008. Now, almost all of my clients come from online searches and a good portion of them are originating from my blogs.
Here's Why I Think Blogs Help Businesses...
Blogs...
- Can improve search engine rankings if it is connected or links to your website. This means the name of your business is closer to the top of the listings when someone “Googles” your type of business on the internet.
- Are cost effective.
- Help you stand out.
- Establish you as a forward thinker and an expert in your field.
- Build trust with potential clients.
- Are a tool for connecting with current customers.
- Use the internet to humanize us.
- Enable us to help fellow business people by quoting them, being a reference for them or their products or by listing their phone number and website.
- Inform your target market about new products or services without the expense of an advertisement.
- Allow us to express ourselves.
- Gives us direct access to our target market.
- Are read by editors and influential people.
- Can tell your company’s side of the story.
- Encourage feedback and conversations.
- Help us to "make a difference in someone else's life." One of our biggest desires as business owners is to help others in some way.
Since we are moving away from phone calls and in-person meetings and moving toward text messages and internet searches, blogs are a perfect way to improve your business.

Hi Vickie Thank you for your easy-to-read delineation. I forwarded it to a friend who has an amazing opportunity, but thinks she’s not a good writer. How do you help someone get confidence in writing a blog? I love the fact that blogging shows are you a forward thinker. Thank you! Connie Kadansky
