How to Use Your Website as an Effective Marketing Tool
A frequent topic in my business coaching and consulting sessions is "how do I get sales from my website." There are three components to consider if you want your website to be an effective tool.
1 Create Good Content-
The most effective websites have content that educates, entertains, tells stories, and motivates. I have four quizzes (two about work, one about intuition, and one about money) on my site that visitors have said they take over and over.
2 Develop an Inbound Marketing Plan-
The majority of businesses believe that "if you build it, they will come." I want to add "if you build it, they will come -- if they can find it." The most effective websites work at increasing their web reach by making themselves findable using several different methods.
3 Track your Progress-
With any good marketing tool, you should measure it. Set goals for your website and track your improvements.
Without all three elements, it's very difficult for your website to stand out and bring in sales.
