Hidden Reasons Why Obama is so Inspiring!
It seemed that everyone I talked to, even the Republicans (I hope you realize I live deep in John McCain country, in Phoenix, Arizona) was inspired on January 20th by the ceremony of our President Obama being sworn in.
I've heard the media say the reasons were because:
- Obama is the first black man to be President.
- Obama can win over Congress to pass laws that rescues us from this economic crisis.
- Obama wanted hope, or at the very least someone to tell us not to give up.
None of those motivated me to glue my eyes on the TV set for hours.
Here's What Did Inspire Me:
Obama so far seems to...
- Respect and treat almost everyone as EQUALS.
- LISTEN no matter what your age, race, sex, income, or status.
- Not EXCLUDE ordinary people or keep hidden secrets.
- BEFRIEND even his enemies (Hillary Clinton, John McCain, other countries, religions and those who didn't vote for him).
- Gather large numbers of people together PEACEFULLY, without conflict.
- Lead by LOVE.
- Make people FEEL GOOD.
- And the most important, he inspires us to be BETTER people.
Obama is showing me by example how to accept myself exactly the way I am, inspire others, and live a happier life.

Yes, he is truly leading by example! “We will extend a hand if you unclench your fist.” I think he is going to emerge as a WORLD leader — not just as an American president. Thank you Vickie for passing the inspiration on this beautiful Monday morning!
